What I’ve learned in suffering is that there’s a God who understands what real suffering is. What does it look like to grieve well? To suffer well? There can be joy and peace even in the darkest depths of suffering when we suffer with Jesus. Shirley’s story is one of great loss but also a depiction of the incredible joy and peace that comes from trusting and relying on God.
