#TravelTipTuesday Dawson Through Your Eyes "Dawson City, Yukon. There’s a certain aura when you first step into Dawson, one that transports you to the past and leaves you itching to come back. One of my fav stops on the trip so far. .... There’s a race of men that don’t fit in, A race that can’t stay still; So they break their hearts of kith and kin, And they roam the world at will. They range the field and they rove the flood, And they climb the mountain’s crest; Theirs is the curse of the gypsy blood, And they don’t know how to rest. - An excerpt from Robert Service’s poem The Men that don’t Fit In. Anyone else relate to these words?" Thank you for sharing memories from your time in Dawson with us Amie! Photos & Caption: @adventuring.amie on Instagram #VisitDawsonCity #ExploreYukon #CanadaNice
Using today to feel thankful for the incredible place we get to call home! From the beauty of the landscape to the kindness of the people, Dawson truly is a special place to both residents and visitors alike. We'd love to hear what you're thankful for today; let us know in the comments!... Photo: Julia Spriggs #VisitDawsonCity #ExploreYukon #CanadaNice
It's a long weekend which makes it perfect for heading out on adventures and finding some new views points right in your own backyard! We'll certainly be embarking on some fall hikes today! Photo: @andrediscover on Instagram... #VisitDawsonCity #ExploreYukon #CanadaNice

Across the river you will find the paddlehwheel graveyard hidden away on the shore of the Yukon. Once considered the primary mode of transportation in the region, these boats were abandoned when ground travel became more popular. #TBT Guess there was a time when stop signs were yellow. But also, does anybody recognize the ferry crossing? We didn't even recognize the ferry!... This photo is over 53 years old, as our current George Black Ferry has been in operation since 1967. Who has taken the ferry across the Yukon River before? #VisitDawsonCity #ExploreYukon #CanadaNice
"Fall: The pressure is off, let yourself go a little, wear sweatpants 24/7. Don’t leave the house. Have a couch nap even though you did nothing all day. I love fall so much!! To me it equals freedom (probably cause it’s the beginning of the end of mining season and soon I’ll be on the couch in sweatpants ALL Day). But it’s also such a beautiful time."... Pretty much sums up fall for us here- summer is often very busy for us (less so this year, but still busier than expected!) and fall is when we can reconnect with friends, get ready for winter and enjoy our cozy little town. And also, Tombstone Territorial Park. Always. Photos & Caption: @ingnarnia #VisitDawsonCity #ExploreYukon #CanadaNice
#TravelTipTuesday Dawson Through Your Eyes "We were supposed to go to New Zealand this year. Somehow, we're beginning to think the Yukon wasn't a bad trade-off. Had to do a separate post for Dawson City because this little town, tucked away in the north is so cool - amazing history, the friendliest people and of course, the Sour Toe. We really had the best time in your town! Everyone was so friendly and the history was really brought to life. Thanks for the hospitality!"... We absolutely love how much you love Dawson Priscilla! 1. Planning of for gold at Free Claim #6 2. Kissing buildings 3. Tombstone Territorial Park 4. SS Keno (Parks Canada Yukon) 5.
