Saturday Snowshoeing! We recommend this serene activity for todays week of winter activities idea. 1. The Rails to Trails (Great Northern) is close to town and perfect for a day of snowshoeing. 2. The Paulson Summit is a slight drive from Nelson but the snow and views makes it all worth while. ... 3. The Nelson Nordic Ski Club is just starting up for the year and they offer rentals!
We are saddened to hear the Craft Faire has been canceled though the safety of all is of primary concern. The Nelson Chamber of Commerce has expanded our retail selection of local art, pottery, candles, jewelry and so much more. We will be open on Saturday from 10:00am to 5:00pm. Be sure to stop by, we have proper COVID safety protocols in place. For Fridays week of winter activities we're recommending sledding! 1. Grab that toboggan and snowsuit up! There's no lack of hills in Nelson, take your pick and enjoy some winter fun. If you need help picking a spot, Queen Elizabeth Park has some great sledding hills. 2. Put some power in your sledding and go snowmobiling! Take a family trip up to Give out Cabin, you could even bring the toboggans for double the fun. ... If you do not own a snowmobile, She Shreds Mountain Adventure can help you out with tours and rentals.
I don't know about all of you, but this cold weather sure does make us crave some fresh baked goodies! Get out to one of Nelson's many cafés or bakeries and grab yourself a delicious treat Thanks Peter Kalasz Photography for the great picture!
Welcome back to our week of winter activities! Todays theme is hiking: 1. Take the longest free ferry in the world over to Kootenay Bay and explore the Pilot Bay Lighthouse. 2.
