VIU Residence & Ancillary Services is presenting a free BBQ lunch today for the students living in residence, it will be available today between 11:30 am and 2 pm where you can come wearing a mask to pick up your BBQ meal from the BBQ area of the Cedar Centre (vegetarian option is available). The VIU Student Call Centre is now accepting applications for on-campus Student Caller jobs at the Nanaimo campus. Student Callers call VIU Alumni to keep them connected with VIU. Successful applicants will be paid $14.60/hour to attend several paid training sessions and work 2 shifts per week (options include Mon to Thur evenings 4:30-8:30 and Sunday afternoon 12:30 to 3:30). The call centre hopes to open its doors soon once institutional approval of a Covid-19 Health & Safety plan is granted.
