Captured this New Zealand Tui in the back garden during a rain shower. Managed to get within 2m to take this shot. Love the detail and the beading of the raindrops on the feathers.

Polyanthas roses have been called the ancestors of floribunda roses, being crossed with hybrid tea roses to create the popular floribundas. They are generally l...ow-growing, bushy roses that continue to flower from spring to frost. This specific polyantha rose, called 'The Fairy,' was introduced in 1932 and has become one of the most popular cultivar of the rose class.

#Microseedbanking101 So, how should you store your seeds? At Seeds of Diversity, we store our seeds in three different ways for three different purposes. Level... 1: Intended for distribution within 1-2 years Level 2: Those not available for distribution and level 1 backups Level 3: For the long-term (ie. in case of catastrophe) Most people will only ever store their seeds at levels 1 or 2. You can explore how by reading our free primer: http://www.seeds.ca/d/

Evolutionarily speaking, the deck is stacked in the raven’s favor. They can live in a variety of habitats, from snow to desert to mountains to forests. They are... scavengers with a huge diet that includes fish, meat, seeds, fruit, carrion, and garbage. They are not above tricking animals out of their foodone raven will distract the other animal, for example, and the other will steal its food. They have few predators and live a long time: 17 years in the wild and up to 40 years in captivity. Photo: Amy Bragg Photography See more

There is more intact forest in Canadas boreal than anywhere else in the world. Globally, it contains the largest area of freshwater and one quarter of all wetlands. We all benefit from working together for conservation in this important ecosystem.

Have you tried roasted cauliflower? Roasting cauliflower makes it golden, caramelized and delicious! Its a simple process and roasted cauliflower can be added ...to so many different dishes such as tacos, salads, grain bowls, or soups. To roast: Preheat oven to 425F and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper Cut cauliflower into 1/2" wide pieces Place cauliflower on baking sheet, making sure not to overcrowd it Drizzle with olive oil.
