It is Watershed's mission to shine light into our darker corners and give voice to those that have been overlooked, at best. Touchstones Nelson - Museum of Art and History's ongoing project entitled Capturing Art and History does just this, producing these two short films about Nelson's Yosh Tagami and Miyo Mori. Kikuno Major drew the illustrations in Miyo's film. For both films Bryan Webb did the animations, Ben Euerby composed the music and Amy Bohigian directed and edited. The Civic Theatre rocked this video about their pop up drive in of Only in Nelson. Support local arts and culture! https://www.facebook.com/NelsonCTS/videos/536874943662083/
Last night's premiere of Only in Nelson pulled in 47,000 viewers as compared to 13,000 for Kim's Convenience at 9PM and 14,000 Schitt's Creek at 9:30PM. Fun stat, eh? Did you watch? Let us know what you thought.
In the midst of a raucous civic election, can this ultra liberal, hippy oasis deal with an encroaching right wing North American conservative agenda? Only in Nelson, a new Knowledge Original, premieres on-air and online May 26: www.knowledge.ca/program/only-nelson
