It's coming up to gift giving season and our gift to you, after many many MANY requests, is small bottles of both our Unruly Vodka and Unruly Gin! These adorable little bottles are now live on our website and will be available at your local liquor stores in the next week or so! So get excited that our gin and vodka are now available in more convenient bottle sizes for every occasion!

Swing by the distillery this weekend for a visit and to pick up some Turkey Day necessities! We are open 11:30-5:30 Saturday and Sunday but are closed Monday. Our official hours have also changed leading up to the holiday season, so we are now open 7 days a week so you never have to run out of your favorite spirits! We're super happy to be a participant in the Canada Summer Jobs program!! We're looking for two youth (19-30) to come join our team for the remainder of 2020. 35 hours per week, living wage employer. Duties will be split between the tasting room and the production side as we make spirits and sanitizer.... PM for details :)

Brent Garstin is definitely an expert at growing garlic! This year Brent shared a few types of his garlic with us, fresh and juicy straight out of the ground when it came time to harvest, and he even came into the Distillery to help us prepare the nearly 40 pounds of garlic and chat about his experience growing it, which felt really special! Something that I've learned from working with Brent is that not all garlic is interchangeable. Each variety has its own personality and appeal. The recipe that we chose after experimenting with each variety individually was made with consideration to the smell, and flavour that was brought out from each by our honey spirit. Garstin's Plunder has a strong raw garlic nose that makes me instantly hungry. The initial flavour is softened by the honey character that is distinctive to our vodka, so the garlic isn't overpowering. The finish is deep, lingering, and satisfying for THIS garlic lover. I'm excited for all of the garlicky Caesars that I'll be enjoying in my near future! Cheers! -Laura

Unfortunately, at around the same time the U.S. decreased its excise rate on that first small volume of annual production to one-seventh the Canadian excise rate, the Canadian government introduced an escalator tax increase to our already cripplingly high excise rate. At present, we pay $12.61/L and in the U.S., they pay approximately $1.77/L. This is where you come in.
