Hurricane Teddy Update! Hurricane Teddy is expected to make landfall Tuesday as a post-tropical storm and it's important that we are prepared for power outages and property damage. With the forecast calling for high winds, heavy rain, and a storm surge along the coast, here are some tips to ensure your family is ready: Charge up all phones, iPads, tablets and computers ... Make sure you have enough food and plenty of water for 72 hours (don’t forget your storm chips or popcorn) Put patio furniture and other loose objects away Follow the local forecasts and Environment and Climate Change Canada - Weather for updated information Make sure you have a flashlight with new batteries and extra batteries if needed Fill up your propane tank and gas up your car (park away from trees) Buy extra fuel for your generator if you have one Keep your pets inside Check on your neighbours and stay safe!
Hey everyone! Last evening we had our Wednesday night training. We had John Dunbar from Micmac Fire and Safety come down and give us a demo on some fire hose nozzles and a portable foam unit. It was a great training night for everyone.

Just a friendly reminder that there is a province wide burn ban in effect for all of Nova Scotia.
Lands and Forest Fire Services are being stretched to their breaking point right now with out of control wildfires. We don’t have enough aircraft to deal with a...ll of the current fires and volunteer departments are crying for help on the radios. This fire ban is not for Covid 19, it is because conditions are perfect for a disaster right now. DO NOT BURN!!!! See more
