Rivers of Nihil have unleashed a groundbreaking new album, Where Owls Know My Name, released on March 16th via Metal Blade Records. The quintet, formed in 2009 and based in Reading, Pennsylvania, has taken a huge leap with this album. It is not only an enormous shift from their previous records that will pleasantly surprise current fans, but it is also an extremely progressive album that pushes the envelope of death metal as a genre. Old time outlaw country western classics meet supercharged heavy metal. Yea thats right, Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, and Waylon Jennings are getting a kick in the ass by the mighty DevilDriver. A massive project, involving guest performers including Lamb of Gods Randy Blythe and Mark Morton, Testaments Chuck Billy, Lee Ving from FEAR, and more. One thing is for sure, this will be unlike anything else, but if theres one band that can pull it off its DevilDriver. A worthy challenger of the task, do they pull it off? Lets discuss. http://westcoastmetal.ca//devildriver-outlaws-til-the-end/
