We Have a Winner! During #Blizzard2020 in #Newfoundland we launched our Shovel for a Shovel contest. The purpose of this contest was to thank a friend or neighbour who went over and above to help in a time of need. We heard so many heartwarming stories during our contest and were blown away by the amazing displays of kindness. Were delighted to announce today that the randomly selected winners of our family trip to a tropical destination (valued at $10,000) are Shawn ...Wells and Patricia Lane! They went to great lengths to help shovel friends and neighbours out during the storm and were so delighted to award them with this prize. Were also happy to announce the randomly selected winners of two new snow blowers (valued at $2,000) are Rachel Petten and Paulette Murphy. Thank you so much to all those who participated and congratulations to the winners! #NLStorm #nlwx #Snowmageddon #JohnsonTheDog
A fresh snow fall is a perfect excuse to make a snowman. Get that snow where it belongs by having a professional clear the snow off your roof. That way theres less chance of the snow causing damage to the shingles of your home.
We Love! We also bringing a smile to the faces of others. Thats why our staff filled out 1,000 custom valentines cards and delivered them to nursing homes throughout St. Johns, NL. Happy Valentines Day from your favourite furry friend, Johnson the Dog!
We love winter. The beautiful fresh snow. The crisp winter air. But along with that comes tricky driving conditions which require road salt. During the winter months its important to wash your car (including the underside) to prevent road salt from building up and ruining your vehicle.
He may not work 9 to 5, but Johnson the Dog is up for the #DollyPartonChallenge! How did he do?
The extensive storm in #NL may be over, but the cleanup continues. Weve sniffed out some of the best tips to help you out after the storm. Throw the snow, not your back. To avoid injury while shoveling, set your feet shoulder width apart, turn without twisting your core, and lift with your legs. Before you shift gears, check under your car hood, check exhaust pipes for snow, and ensure your brakes are clear of ice. ... The same goes for washer/dryer vents, basement windows, and gas vents make sure theres no snow where it doesnt belong. Clear snow away from storm drains if possible to give runoff water a place to go.
