October 7th: 10 courageous riders braved an Okanagan torrential down pour (for you from the West Coast, that’s 20 minutes of light sprinkling) but were rewarded with a last burst of sunshine and super tacky trails (for the most part. I happened to find a very slippery log an ended up on my ass, or rather my ribs. Sore and bent but not broken). Really fun night with Pierre and Dino leading us up the Summer Games track, across the Legal Track to the summit. Then down Upper Flamingo, Blue Flamingo and Dairy Queen. Super fun. No mechanicals and I claimed the only crash. Après was at the under the radar Copper Mug Pub. Pretty dam good burger and a pint of Nut Brown to wrap up a pleasant evening. My sore ribs prevent me from laughing so no jokes next week!

September 30th: (As reported by Dino): 11 Riders had an awesome night for a "Rusty Muffler" shuttle. Rode Rusty to Boneyard to Fred to Wedding Crashers and out. 3 flats tonight. No blood, which is always good. Robin's flat must have been repaired erroneously as his tube popped out on the Riddle road descent. This caused him some bike damage and a $300.00 repair bill but luckily he escaped, what could have been a serious crash and injury. Seems he had to walk back to Poplar Grove from there. More luck as Curt was still in the parking lot as Robin had intended to ride home which would have been a long walk. Après was a KVS. Hope to see you all out on the last two rides, especially the last ride!! Dino
