Today we’re introducing Kaitland, who joined Wee Watch Nepean in May 2019. Kaitland has an amazing space, recently renovated, in her basement for the children to develop, learn and grow. With her many innovative ideas, she is constantly empowering her children to be the best that they can be. Arts and crafts, playing and exploring the outdoors, planning creative and educational activities on a regular basis, Kaitland’s child care is a home away from home for the children who are so fortunate to be in her care. Paskina and her little ones made their own poppies for Remembrance Day this week. Paskina wanted to share this craft with everyone because it was so easy, the children loved it and they turned out great! All you need to do is cut off the bottom portion of a plastic water bottle and have the children paint them red with a black center. Show us your poppies!

Our Provider Barbara feels so lucky to have these trails close to her house. She took the children for a walk to learn about trees and connect with nature.

As part of this month WEE LEARN program Numbers Our weeones at Paskina's house in Ajax collected some tree branch sticks while on our morning walk and followed step by step directions from the "Step into STEM program - Numbers to make this fun fishing game. What a great way to enjoy fishing indoors. The kids had a ball and used their creativity and math skills for this activity. Great job Paskina! #weelearnandplay #weewatch #homechildcare

Halloween is so close and our little ones at Wee Watch are getting so excited. Let the costume parade of photos begin. Celebrations began today at Tanya’s house in Sarnia. This simple Halloween craft will keep children busy making their own jack-o-lanterns. Cut out pumpkins and face pieces using orange and black felt, each child can have their own set to rearrange however they like.

Introducing Kanata/Hunt Club provider, Julie. Julie has been with Wee Watch for almost 4 years. Julie is a joy for our Wee friends, and the families with which she works. She loves taking the children outdoors, doing crafts, and letting them get messy! This months Together Wee Can Step Into STEM program is all about numbers! Our Provider Crystal made a ghostly number matching game for the children. A perfect activity that encourages, number recognition, counting, matching and celebrates Halloween! Crystal also laminated the activity so it is easy to clean, great idea Crystal!
