Beads of Joy 30.11.2020

This year my energy is going into gardening. I do work at the torch on occasion yet not daily as in the past. I do have a large contingent of gnomes ready to go travelling

For those wanting to Home a Gnome as Anna put it you are welcome to drop by the Gnome transfer station (outdoors) and choose at your convenience. Cost is $25 each and payment by cash or cheque can be left in the black, locking mailbox (which I repurposed from my husband’s former home office - I reminded him he is retired so no longer needs it) please use an envelope or ziplock bag with your name so I know who has gotten theirs. Or you can send me an etransfer to [email protected] once you get home. You are also welcome to ring the doorbell if you want to chat or visit the studio. I also have more gnomes inside. Where? 215 Elizabeth Ave, Qualicum Beach. We live right beside The Qualicum Beach Inn. Yes, there is hand sanitizer there to use before you start checking out the gnomes. If you live out of town please email me with your address. Postage is $12.50. We can correspond re your preferences. Wishing you a joyful day

Here is the current version of my gnome transfer station. I added in a collection of rocks I collected on our travels. The wood pieces are treasures we found on our island drives over the years and they were hidden in our garden. I still have to add a spot for hand sanitizer More later about how to pick up and pay. Outside work today is a bit slow due to occasional torrential rain.

I decided a few weeks ago to tidy up my potting shed which is just outside my studio door. One thing led to another and I decided to reimagine how to use it since I didn’t really use it except to store things I might use. I asked my sisters what they thought I should do with it. Shannon suggested a gnome house. I liked the idea of a gnome garden but not in the shed. So I painted the shed and created a gnome garden on the path to it. Hence why I needed to create some gnomes. Well, after your enthusiastic response to my newest gnome arrivals, and requests to buy some - it turns out I’ll be creating a space for gnomes who are willing to travel. Watch later today for an update photo for what I can find in my garden to create gnome travel station
