Ive met a lot of people recently who are grinding everyday. Grinding away to become rich. Some grind to the point of exhaustion, even forsaking some of the most important things in life. A few simple words to help put things in perspective. #wisdom #perspective #liveyourbestlife

Im back after a temporary hiatus from social media. I wanted to share something profound for my first post back. A beautiful poem written by Abdulla Shoaib. So many people feel ugly in some way shape or form. Its amazing how a little change in perspective transforms our entire thought process. Read the poem top-to-bottom then read it from the bottom up. Maybe its time we start looking at things a little differently :) #love #happinesss... #lookwithin #bewise See more

Ayurvedic Tips and Home Remedies for Digestion 1) Have a teaspoon of grated fresh ginger with a few drops of lemon juice with few pinches of salt before meal to stimulate the Agni. 2) Sip on ginger tea throughout the day, and with meals. 3) Eating turmeric and black pepper together stimulates digestion.... 4) A glassful of warm water with a little honey and a few drops of lemon juice added to it is good for improving digestion when taken on an empty stomach. 5) Sleep on your left side. This facilitates digestion and removal of toxins. 6) Drink warm water with lemon in the morning and throughout the day. 7) Lunch should be the largest meal of the day as that is when your digestive fire is the strongest. 8) Avoid cold drinks with your meals as it might hamper and slow down the digestion process. 9) Practice not eating anything 2 to 3 hours before bed. 10) Try drinking a cup or two of warm water upon waking, and a large glass (about two cups) of warm or room temperature water 20-30 minutes before your meals. 11) Chew well while eating. 12) Mediate regularly See more

Sweet and balancing treat for your weekend ;) Ingredients: 3 pears, peeled, seeded and chopped... squeeze juice of 1 lemon over pears 4 Tbsp. ginger preserve 1 cup all-purpose flour 1 cup quick-cooking rolled oats cup packed brown sugar cup ghee or butter Directions: In a medium saucepan, combine the first 3 ingredients and bring to a low simmer for 10-12 minutes. In a mixing bowl, combine the remaining ingredients and fold in room-temperature ghee or butter in order to create a crumb-like texture when stirred together well. Separate the mixture into two equal portions. Press half of the mixture into a 5 x 9-inch baking pan which is approximately 4 inches deep. Make a smooth crust-like layer covering the entire bottom. Remove the pear mixture from the stove and pour over the first layer of crust. Sprinkle the remaining crumb mixture over the top of the fruit layer and bake uncovered in a pre-heated oven at 350 F for 40 minutes. Cool on a rack until the mixture has settled solidly into the pan. Enjoy! Source: http://www.mapi.com

Ayurveda specifically uses tea to help balance the three doshas: Pitta, Vata and Kapha. Just as we might choose a warming, nourishing cup of milky chai in the Winter, and a cooling cup of mint tea in the Summer, Ayurveda recommends using different teas according to how the body feels day-to-day and depending upon whether we require stimulation, relaxation or rejuvenation

This dairy-free Spiced Matcha Latte is the perfect start to Monday morning, while the cinnamon, turmeric and ginger take this healthy green drink to a whole new level Ingredients: 3 oz water, boiled 1 tsp matcha powder... 1/4 tsp cinnamon 1/8 tsp turmeric 1/8 tsp ginger 8 oz non-dairy milk, warmed sweetener to taste (I used 1 drop of this) Directions: Boil water and add it to a small glass mixing cup.
