@drcaseybaker is back to talk about leap 3 - To continue with the leaps of brain development, enter leap 3 at 12 weeks (give or take) This part of brain development is where a baby’s transitions begin to smooth out or become more fluid/easy.... This leap involves a lot of encouragement as baby is exploring and try new things. You may notice baby trying to grab and touch more objects, this may be them touching or examining your face. Ever notice a baby get more active when you are changing them? Clothes can be restrictive and limit the freedom of movement, when you can allow baby to explore without clothes on, do it. This is also good for activation of the small muscles in the hands and feet which are important later in life. Another fun part in this leap is the foundation of conversational skills. I know it sounds crazy at 3 months but as babies learn to babble, you can converse with them. This set the foundation for conversational skills and learning to talking when it’s your turn and listen while others are talking. of babies show signs of stranger danger around unfamiliar people, during this time.
