The basic difference between bevel vs convex scissors... which most stylists and groomers have no idea about. The convex take much more work and special equipment to sharpen and thats why you pay twice as much. The downside is that they damage easier due to the delicate edge. About 80% of scissors I sharpen are bevel edge.....tougher but not as a refined edge and quicker to do.. so cheaper.

I have the latest in equipment to bring your knife edges razor sharp. I use a custom engineered belt style machine built by AMK tactical knives. It is a variable speed machine that generates very little heat. This is the only machine of its kind in northern Ontario. In most cases my finished edge is sharper than factory.
