The West Island Women’s Centre has always focused on our mission of improving the quality of life for women in our community, no matter the program or activity. This is at the heart of what we have done for the past 45 years. We have grown from a small group of determined women in 1975 to what we have become today, with over 650 members last year. No matter the challenge including what we have experienced this year has lessened our determination to provide support to all... our community members. Societal needs change over time but the need for connection and support remains constant. We are more determined than ever to bring our members together, as we reimagine different ways to provide valuable programming and services for all women within the West Island and beyond. We are so grateful for our community and we look forward to serving you for many years to come!

We are so grateful for all the support given to our Holiday Baskets Collection this year. Your generosity and contributions are greatly appreciated and through donations and contributions, we were able to provide everything on the list for all three families supported by the Fonds d'aide de l'Ouest-de-l'Île / West Island Assistance Fund. We also were able to donate rice to Nourishment For Hope. We would also like to recognize the amazing contributions of the Ferguson Family Foundation, évoilà5 Pointe-Claire, and Saputo to our Holiday Baskets Collection. Thank you for all your support!

WIWC Connection Program Survey: https://bit.ly/SurveyConnect21 The Centre has heard from women looking for volunteer opportunities. Some wish to support the organization, while others are hoping to relieve their feelings of isolation. As part of our search for innovative measures through which community members can remain engaged, we are launching an intergenerational connection program. With their life experiences, seniors represent an untapped source of support. Be it pers...onal or professional, we could all benefit from this knowledge. Conversely, women of other generations can provide support and companionship, during these particularly challenging times. The potential for diverse mentoring opportunities is very exciting! This survey seeks to learn more about your needs as well as areas of interest. We would encourage you to share it with women from the community at large. We want to include those who are not online! If you know of someone in this situation have them call 514-781-8529 and our Outreach Coordinator will facilitate their participation. We'd appreciate any feedback that you have, please fill out this survey and share this with anyone you know that might be interested in this program! https://bit.ly/SurveyConnect21
