Help a family in need this holiday season! West Kelowna Fire Rescue is pleased to support local food banks in 2020 by modifying its 23rd Annual Holiday Food Drive in keeping with provincial health guidelines regarding COVID-19. Instead of the usual door-to-door collection, West Kelowna Fire Stations 31 in Westbank and 32 in Lakeview heights will serve as convenient drop off sites for residents to leave their non-perishable food donations from Dec. 1 through Dec 15.... We are helping to Fill the Boot this year to raise critical funds and awareness for Muscular Dystrophy Canada. It’s with a heavy heart we hear about the passing of one of our past long time paid on call members , one of our brothers . Jerry Rawson was recently retired as a paid on call firefighter at hall 34 . Jerry was a huge part of the paid on call association as a secretary , he taught our MBSS junior fire fighters, and lite up the faces of our West Kelowna fire rescue members children every Christmas arriving at the hall dressed in red with presents for all in hand You will ...be missed by so many Jerry.
