Since I am posting On Line sales on facebook, I want to post a little information about facebook events. If someone invites you to a facebook event that has the picture and the name of the event in bold print, you can just click on that to get to the event. You could also search for the event if you know the title. Someone might also post a link or URL which will take you to the event which has been set up. There are 2 sections to a facebook event site. One is About, which t...ells you about the event itself - when it is, where, what time, and a description of the event. If the event organizer wants to post updates, or give more information to their prospective attendees, they will post under DISCUSSION. For most event sites, that is exactly what this section is - a place where people can ask questions about the event or vendors can talk about what they will be bringing to an event. For the On Line Sales that I have been doing, the items for sale are posted directly in the Discussion section. People who are not listed as hosts cannot post items of their own. That function is shut off because that is where the sale itself is located. You simply click on Discussion, and you are at the sale. For any On Line Sales that I set up, you simply scroll down through the items. You can still like a post (the item), or you can ask a question. However, to purchase, you would comment "I am Interested in buying this", "Interested", or "I would like to buy this" or something to that effect. You would then be contacted via Messenger with the vendor information. (* which means that if you have made such a comment, you must check your Messenger, because unless the host is your facebook friend you will not be notified that you have a message on Messenger, so please check.) I cannot impart this information to you for an event on the event site if you don't look under Discussion. I hope that this clears things up for those of you not familiar with facebook events.
