Stolen in Galt area.
We just received a new set of images from GRT. If you happened to have your bike stolen or lost, contact them and provide a description (serial number maybe) of... your bike. They will search for it and let you know if it's there. The office is at 250 Strasburg GRT, and the number you can call is 519-575-7555. A big thanks to our friends at GRT for helping us on this. Lisa Rutledge from the Cambridge Times, interviewed me few weeks after I created the Where is my bike group, at the time dedicated only to Cambridge residents. Soon enough we realized we had to expand it to the whole Region of Waterloo. Lisa Rutledge is a Reporter/Photographer for the Cambridge Times and here is a link to the note: http://whereismybike.ca///31/where-is-my-bike-in-the-news/

This is a great initiative from our friend Clifford Vanclief hosting a Bicycle Lock Talk. Limited places so hurry up! We will look for more of these to come and educate us on having our bikes secured.
Thank you for visiting and liking our page. Please get into our group we are more active in there. https://www.facebook.com/groups/whereismybikecambridge/?ref=bookmarks
And we have another happy ending! Thanks to Lindsay Reed and her husband Josh, we were able to find a bike for a 12 years old that had her bike stolen! Heather Gary will contact our great members for arranging the delivery. We want more pictures!
When your bike gets stolen, you feel violated and there's not much you can do about it. But.... there is something very powerful in today society that you can u...se to your advantage, it's called social media. The biggest tip I can give to people is to make your bikes' presence known, if the thief sees a bunch of social media over a bike he picked up last night , this brings a lot of heat and attention to them, they will panic, and hopefully ditch your bike (as they did with mine), Then the next step is a nice citizen finds your bike in the ditch, and either returns it, or doesn't know it's stolen, so they use it, and if your bike is nice enough, it will jump out and nice people such as Glen will give you a lead as to where it is located, Obviously the cops will do for theft under $5000, all we can do is stay strong as a community and get your friends to share your post in the surrounding area, and hopefully you will be as lucky as I was. This is just my personal experience.... it is possible, keep your heads up.
Hello members, Heather Gary's daughter's bike was stolen recently and we are asking those that were willing to donate to look and see if they have something ava...ilable for her. She’s 12 and tall, about 5’3. The bike that was stolen was an adult bike. Let's see if we can make another person happy out of your kindness. Thank you! See more
