Brad and Mark have been curling together from a very young age. We were going through some old photographs and came across this one of Brad Gushue and Sandra Schmirler taken in 1995 (Brad was only 14). We can’t imagine what ...was going through Brad’s head at the time! It was only five years later in 2000 that we lost Sandra to cancer. Your legacy lives on though your family & through the Sandra Schmirler Foundation where funds are raised to care for babies in crisis. You were a real life super hero and it was an honour to just meet you. Normally, the first Sunday of the Scotties Tournament of Hearts is a day to raise money for the foundation but you can donate anytime! Come on by August 23rd between 10am - 3pm ...and drop off your unwanted empties, and we will donate the funds to the Kelly Shires Breast Cancer Foundation.
