Wild 'n Queer 21.11.2020

Does anyone know any grant funding sources? I would like to support LGBTQ and BIPOC folks to connect with the medicines in Nature through experiences like kayaking, fishing, etc. Because Nature is Medicine and Nature is Diverse. <3 I'm slowly building up a business working with LGBTQ peoples in the outdoors, but many LGBTQ and BIPOC folks experience challenges with access, cultural differences, and economic disparities that make it difficult to connect with these outdoor spac...es. <3 If you know of any folks that might want to be part of such a start up, could you please send me a note? It's too big to tackle alone! Thank you so much!

Hey everyone. We are going to start opening up some kayak trips for the queer community. BC residents! :) Camping and kayaking with your queer fam this summer! We'll organize all your gear and food and logistics. Dates may change for now as we hear about opening dates for different areas. We are working with locals on the West Coast of Vancouver Island (Tofino, Ucluelet), as well as the Sunshine Coast (Desolation Sound), and right here in Vancouver (Indian Arm, Howe Sound) to... offer queer and ecologically oriented trips... :) Please send me a note if you or your friends have dates in mind. We can set something up for you! Great local and wild foods, ecological connection, queer family on the ocean! I'm a SKGABC/Paddle Canada certified kayak instructor and guide. Or we can help you plan and run your own custom kayak trip or instructional course. We welcome and work with all genders and sexual orientations. (I'm hella queer!!!) :D If you want to join one of our existing trips or find out more about us, here's a link: http://wildqueer.ca/ We've had to re-organize a bit since COVID-19 but are happy to be able to start offering small tailored trips to locals this summer. Also, is anyone interested in a series of wild 'n queer kayak skills sessions or a community night @ Kitsilano or Deep Cove? If enough folks are down I can help organize this.
