Windjammer Chef Rahil Rathod Competes at the 2020 IKA Culinary Olympics - Canadian Culinary Federation Chefs Bring Home 2 Silver Medals! Highest praise is in order for the Canadian teams who competed in the 2020 IKA Culinary Olympics in Stuttgart, Germany. Thanks to their Olympian efforts, Canada retains its international reputation as a culinary leader, bringing home numerous medals. Held every four years, the IKA Culinary Olympics is the oldest, largest and most diverse cul...inary competition in the world. Windjammer Chef Rahil Rathod and his fellow Canadian chefs were up against 32 other national teams, with around 60 countries represented and 6,000 entries across all categories. Canada had five teams and two individual competitors in attendance for the 2020 Olympics, which took place on Feb. 14-19. With preparations for the event starting at least two years in advance, the effort more than paid off, as Canada maintained its reputation for culinary excellence with the National Culinary Team Canada bringing home silver in two categories and placing 8th overall.
