Wine Ideology

As usual, I was intrigued by the wine spectator top 100, good to see Colene Clemons Pinot in the top 10. And who would have guessed Sassicaia number 1. The vintage suggests that this wine could be put down for another 10 years no problem. I am wondering about their wine producing neighbors with the same soil type, same micro climate and same varietal selection and how more economical they would be. Homework time.

The time has come to refocus my attention to staying in touch with the masses. Great summer as wine director at Restaurant Pietro in Waskesui. Ranked number 1 by consumer reviews in both Trip Adviser and Open Table as the best restaurant in Saskatchewan. And that it certainly is without question. More to come!
