Beginning March 15, 2016, visa-exempt foreign nationals who fly to or transit through Canada will need an Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA). Exceptions include U.S. citizens and foreign nationals with a valid visa. This means that ALL students (other than U.S. citizens) who do NOT currently have a visa for entry to Canada will NEED to apply online for an ETA before entering or re-entering Canada.
