Greetings. There has been significant discussion across the province and country yesterday regarding church services and many churches are cancelling services as a precaution against the spread of the corona virus. Both world church and the Canada East Mission center have also been providing information.... Woodfield Community of Christ is enacting the following plan of action. The service for March 15th has been recorded and will be shared Wedensday morning (after editing) on our youtube page at: youtube and search woodfield community of Christ to watch Following this Sundays service we will be cancelling live worship services, christian education,etc for the next three Sundays till after Palm Sunday April 5th. During this three week period we will be recording services that will be broadcasted electronically each Sunday on our you tube channel but will not be attended by the congregation. This limits those involved in the service to just the presidier, speaker, assister and recording technician. The service will be standard except for the offering regarding prayer for peace, Lenten celebration readings, speaker and music accompaniment provided by taped hymns and songs. For communion on April 5th we invite everyone to share in the communion by partaking in unison with the service in your homes. In regards to Good Friday and Easter, etc we will advise if services are being held live again or if we will continue taping these services for electronic viewing. These actions are in line with the advice and precautions being taken by many churches during this pandemic to protect our congregants and reduce the potential for spread of the Corona19 virus.
