Starting on Monday.... "No one person can do everything but every one of us can do something." - Christine Caine
One of the most serious issues facing #globalhealth is also one of the most solvable. According to World Health Organization (WHO), in least developed countries, 22% of health care facilities have no water service, 21% no #sanitation service, and 22% no waste management service. Safe water, functioning toilets, and soap must be present in all hospitals and health clinics. With your support, we can work to provide #WASHinHCF for vulnerable communities globally. #WaterMatters https://worldhope.ca/give/hope-fund/
Q: How has mushroom farming impacted local communities? A: If you guessed one or all of increased #foodsecurity, reduced #labormigration, improved sanitation, or affordable education -you'd be correct! And with partners like Growing Hope Globally, we can continue to expand this program!
Deborah Gilbert, the missions pastor of Cornerstone Wesleyan Church desired to find a fresh way to not only fundraise but to embolden church members to create a strong connection to their partner village in Sierra Leone. Bee was asked to use her talents to create a mural that would show the progress of their village partnership and to easily see their fundraising goals. The church visually gets to see the village grow as they continue to give to the project. ... It’s a fun way to educate individuals on the village they're investing in and a creative way for kids to interact with the project as well, says Bee. https://worldhope.ca/muraltellsthestory/

How do you help children begin to heal who have been affected by trauma? What about younger children who don’t understand they have been abused? The answer to this question is vital since many of the most successful methods of trauma therapy require verbalization and a clear awareness of abuse.... Young children have limited verbal fluency or ability to communicate Children who have been groomed for abuse often do not realize their trauma It may be uncomfortable to learn about the abuse of children but it's important to better understand the hope that abused children have through proper treatment and therapy.

Cornerstone Church decided to move from a place of providing clean water in Africa to partner with a village in a three year journey of transformation. Cornerstone desired to find a fresh way to not only fundraise, but to embolden members of the church to feel a strong connection to the village partnership. Bee Stanton, a local artist and member of the church, was asked to use her talents to create a mural that would show the progress of the village partnership. They visually... get to see the village grow as they continue to give to the project. CEO, Tanya Nace visited Cornerstone and their mural is getting close to finished! This means that the funds for this three year project are getting close to being raised! Project wins after one year: Leadership training: We believe that everyone works together to see a community become sustainable which is why we include a variety of ages and genders. Village Assessment: The village came together and decided education and clean water for children is high priority! Agriculture Training completed: The community decided to have the most vulnerable people do the training and access the seed loans first so they can get started on food for them and their families
