The inclusion of all Ontarians, regardless of race, religion, sexual orientation, gender, socio-economic status, disability or ethnicity is a proud accomplishment in our post secondary education system. Why would the Ford government validate the rhetoric of Charles McVety, a public and vocal homophobe and islamophobe, and extend the mandate of his Canada Christian College to award degrees in Science and the Arts? The credibility of all post secondary degrees in Ontario is in jeopardy by Doug Ford if he allows Charles McVety to further his hateful agenda.

On September 18th, Ruth Bader Ginsburg died at the age of 87. She was, as the Economist remarked in their obituary, "the liberal conscience of America's Supreme Court". RBG was a fighter all her life. She fought for peace, justice and equality and she never stopped pushing her nation and the world, using her intellect and the positions she held to improve the lives of women and marginalized people.

Michelle Delany has worked from the ground up to help establish community gardens to increase access to fresh food, help reduce food expenses and improve food security for those who need it in Thorncliffe Park. The community garden draws people from the neighbourhood and provides them the opportunity to meet neighbours, learn from each other and grow their own food. Community Gardening is a wonderful and fulfilling physical and mental activity for the individual and results... in a greener, more beautiful space for the community. The Thorncliffe Community Garden is an edible oasis in the city and Michelle Delany is a change maker that helped make it happen. @ThorncliffeParkUrbanFarmers

We can’t let down our guard when it comes to protection against COVID-19. Stay at home if you’re sick. Wear a mask and physically distance yourself from everyone outside your household. ... We will get through this together.

My very best to students who have gone back to school or who are getting ready to go back to school. You have been through so much during these times and I wish you the safest and most positive learning experience possible. Reconnect with your friends and create new relationships with good people around you. Study hard. Be strong. Be healthy.

Mina, a grade 11 student and her friends are looking forward to going back to school. A clearer and more responsible plan from the government would make their return much safer.

Great communities look out for and help each other, including those who are marginalized or experiencing homelessness. When the neighbourhood is divided over a lack of information and resources, responsibility falls on all levels of government to lead with a plan and sufficient support so that the community remains strong.
