ANNOUNCEMENT - COVID-19 Update Honorable members of the Albanian Muslim Society of Toronto, compatriots, brothers and sisters. As you are aware, the Provincial Government has introduced new strict capacity limits on places of worship in Ontario starting on December 26th 2020 until January 28th, 2021 as it works to get a handle on the surge of COVID-19 cases. ... In line with these recent provincial regulations and additional consultations we have had with various local and national organizations, and in order to comply with recommendations coming from the Canadian public health authorities such as the Federal, Provincial and Municipal, it has been decided that the Mosque will suspend its activities and there will be no congregational prayer services offered to the public at the AMST until further notice. This decision wasn't an easy one, we believe that the Xhami is the last place on earth that should be closed, but we also acknowledge that protecting the health and safety of the public comes first. We request from our congregation to pray at home and remain safe and vigilant during these difficult times. May God uplift us from this pandemic and cure those afflicted and may God keeps us safe during these difficult times and protects us from every illness.
