Some maintenance and a little paint can go along way to help keep your site in full compliance for your host railway. This location had derails that were missing handles, and the paint had been worn right off. Called out on Canada Day Weekend to help a customer with a washout. Time is very important we manged to all work together and have operations going 26 hours later Special thanks to the Brothers and Sisters of I.B.E.W 2067 for letting us work with them, great group of workers. Shout out to Clark and Sons Earthmoving LTD. for supplying great operators and equiptment and great knowledge to help get this fixed. Xpert Rail Consulting is Xcited to be contributing to the 11th annual Little Princess Ball in Moose Jaw this year. This is a great part of our community and has raised a substantial amount of money for the Womens Health Unit of the Dr.F.H. Wigmore Regional Hospital in Moose Jaw. I wanted to take a moment and congragulate Sean Reid has become the first Richardson employee to become Xpert Certified. Becoming Xpert Certified means that Sean has taken his training serious and brings a safe attitude towards the moving of railway equipment. Sean has also proven to us that he is working to make his site a better place by providing leadership and mentorship.

Never seen a Railcar with mudflaps before!! This car must be Eastbound!!

Fixed some raised planks in a crossing this past weekend. Straight spikes, and lots of pumping caused the planks to rise up, and debris filled in underneath, you can see in a few of the pictures the 2 inch layer of debris between the planks and ties. The worst tie got so high, the locomotive pole and steps were scraping the wood down. Thankfully, none were shattered, and the worn section actually rested off the edge of the drivable crossing area, so we could reuse it for now. This entire crossing will need replacement soon. #cleancrossings #xpertrail #roadtrip

Huge shoutout to the CoOp and NAPA auto parts in the Town of Outlook. Our work trucks alternator quit working while coming into Outlook. The local NAPA was closed, but the attendant at the CoOp was awesome and helped us track down the owner of NAPA who just happened to be coming into town. He sold us an alternator, and lent us the tools to get it fixed. An hour delay to our trip, but the AWESOME Small Town Saskatchewan hospitality shines again! The importance of crossing maintenance. This track is buried in water during a sunny day in spring, without proper drainage that water will sit and freeze overnight. Potentially causing a derailment if gone un-noticed by a train crew. #xpertrail #playsafe #trackmaintenance
