The YMCA of Simcoe/Muskoka's Board of Directors is pleased to announce the appointment of Jill Tettmann as our new Chief Executive Officer. Jill was previously the CEO of the North Simcoe Muskoka LHIN and brings 25+ years of executive leadership to our Y. Jill will join our team on November 30.

To celebrate YMCA Peace Week, the YMCA of Simcoe/Muskoka is recognizing individuals who have committed to making our community a better place for all. Shelly Skinner is an advocate against Anti-Black and 2SLGBTQ+ discrimination. In response to the Black Lives Matter movement, Shelly founded UPlift BLACK a not-for-profit organization dedicated to uplifting the overall wellness of Black People living in Simcoe/Muskoka. This summer, the UPlift BLACK Youth Project provided personalized care packages to over 240 Black youth isolating at home due to the Covid-19 pandemic. We encourage you to celebrate a Peace Champion in your community by using the #YMCAPeaceChampion hashtag.
