WELCOME BACK! We're super happy to announce that in accordance with provincial guidelines for the gradual resumption of in-person care, we'll be ready and excited to see you again in the clinic starting on Monday, June 1st. In order to help keep everyone safe and healthy, we've also made some changes including: Making sure all visitors wear masks while in the clinic... Mandatory hand-sanitizing upon entry for everyone Spacing out appointments and reducing the number of health professionals on shift to promote physical distancing Plexiglass barrier at the front desk reception area Receiving patients directly to a treatment room/cubicle rather than the waiting room Thoroughly screening all patients and staff for Covid-19 prior to entering the clinic While you'll still be seeing your usual wonderful health provider, they may look a little different as they'll be wearing some new personal protective equipment (PPE) to help keep everyone safe. We're also still offering and in fact encouraging virtual video physiotherapy appointments from the comfort of your own home or office whenever possible. Lots of nerves hererespect your nerves 2-Armpit; there are some important muscles accessible in this region, but its also easy to press your nerves against your arm bone and thinking its good because it hurts 3-Between your triceps and biceps, on the inside of your arm. This area is often worked to help with fascial planes and sliding, which probably isnt happening the way we think. Its also an area where you are able to directly press your nerves and blood vessels against the bone. Never a good idea. 4-Your abdomen. Stop pressing heavy objects into your abdomen. Are you trying to roll out your liver and kidneys? Your psoas is underneath all your organs. Not going to happen. 5-Back of your knee. You have nerves and blood vessels directly in the back of your knee, proceed gently in this region if at all.
