Tabouli salad is a delicious Mediterranean staple, packed with tons of flavor and nutrients. It is itself vegetarian, but can act as a great side or base to meat, fish or vegetarian proteins. The main ingredient is bulgur wheat, a complex carbohydrate that will provide you with lasting energy. Fresh herbs, like the mint and parsley, are a great ...way to add flavor and get your greens in with no added salt. The salad is satiating and filling due to the fiber provided by the cucumbers and tomatoes. Olive oil provides a serving of healthy, monounsaturated fats. Tip: once stored in the fridge, the flavours become even more savoury. You can scale the recipe to have double or triple servings and store for up to 4 days. See more
