We are still working hard, just not harvesting anything right now. Covering 10 acres of strawberries with straw for protection from our cold winters. In the spring we will fork it between the rows to keep the dirt and weeds down. Unpasteurized honey, some from the hives on our farm. Makes a great gift, has health benefits and tastes great too!!! A spoonful of buckwheat honey is more effective at soothing coughs and helping kids sleep as a dose of cough medicine. For a warm drink, add a spoonful of honey and the juice of half a lemon to hot tea. The hot acidic liquid clears phlegm from the throat, the honey and lemon both attack bacteria, the lemon provides Vitamin C for a speedy recovery, and the honey soothes and heals the irritated tissues. Honey does not spoil ever. It does not need refrigeration either. Just take good care not to drop food particles into the honey. Unpasteurized honey does crystallize. Just put your container in some hot water until it is all liquid again.
