ZLC is always proud to partner with Music Heals to support the music therapy program at BC Women's Hospital, a program instrumental in changing the lives of the tiniest patients. Through our partnership, premature infants were lulled to sleep by the soothing sounds of an acoustic guitar. The gentle rhythms of music helped to regulate their breathing and the fears and anxiety of parents were melted away as they bonded with their little ones. Some who have never sung out loud, ...found comfort and hope in being able to connect with their children in such a profound way. Now more than ever music therapy is providing immense relief to parents and allowing them to be fully present to support the care of their babies. This has been particularly important as caregivers face the added complexities of caring for a premature infant during the COVID-19 pandemic. At ZLC, we believe in the power of music and are happy to support Music Heals as they continue to make a difference in our community.
