Eastern Health reminds patients of the Health Sciences Centre that telephone registration for some appointments is available in advance of arriving at the HSC. Telephone registration provides an alternative way to register for appointments and offers a quicker way to check in upon arrival to the HSC. It is available Monday to Friday from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. by calling (709) 777-0908 or toll free at 1-888-770-6339. Telephone registration at the HSC is available for all app...ointments, except for medical imaging (X-ray, MRI, CT etc), blood collection, cancer care, day surgery (except women’s health), nuclear molecular medicine and women’s health outpatients. ***PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT*** Eastern Health Reminds the Public to Dial 1-800 when Requesting Flu Shots for Home Visits Eastern Health would like to remind the public of the importance of dialing 1-800 before 770-7741 when requesting a home visit to get their flu shot. Dialing the number without 1-800 directs calls to the wrong number. ... Home visits by community health nurses are available to the very frail or homebound who cannot travel to a flu clinic, or visit a pharmacist or doctor to get their flu shot. These individuals can also call their local Community Health Office from Monday Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. to arrange their flu shot. Eastern Health thanks the public for their consideration and reminds individuals that getting a flu shot is important every year, particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic.
