This is our history, and it is our responsibility to remember the achievements and sacrifices of our #veterans. We must pass on their legacy and keep the torch of remembrance burning for future generations. We will remember them.

The Highway of Heroes, coined by the public in 2002, gets its name from the route that our fallen repatriated soldiers follow from CFB/8 Wing Trenton to #Toro...nto. Thousands of Canadians line the route to pay their respects. This piece of music, here performed by the RCAF Band, was written in 2019 by Robert Buckley in honour of the road, but also those everyday heroes that work to keep #Canada strong and free. This performance was recorded by the RCAF Band on their 2019 Album Above and Beyond, an album honouring the work of British, American and Canadian militaries with pieces by composers of each nationality. #RCAFBand #RCAF #RCN #CA #HighwayOfHeroes
