St. Clair West has always been our playground and our muse. Mondo: Visual artist Isabelle Sauve contacted me to ask if she could use a photo I took during one of the first snowstorms of last winter as reference for a painting. As the season warms up, the finished painting is a reminder of the magic that St. Clair West provides even in the worst of weather.... And of course, the 512 Streetcar stands front-and-centre. It's all about the little things, isn't it? May in Toronto means the blooming of cherry blossoms. And, lately, the hordes of pilgrims rushing to take selfies in High Park, creating chaos where there used to be peaceful order.... Amidst all the activity, a lone butterfly went about its business, hopping from flower to flower. Careful not to disturb, we chose it as the hero of the morning, small but purposeful. That's what we regularly do at 5ONETWO. Catching the little details, and separating them from the noise. Finding the unique out of the ordinary. Sometimes, a whisper is more powerful than a scream.
