I would like to thank L’MOOR for offering such a well crafted infection prevention and control course! It was specific to Ontario, and offered a lot of great information in a very comprehensive way. I first heard about this course from one of my teachers from Aesthetics school, Tara, thank you! When I saw PREempt on the certificate I knew I had to check it out. I have always used PREempt brand as my disinfectant but it was great to have a refresher, leaving me feeling more confident. If anyone feels like they want a refresher on infection control in the Salon/Spa Industry, with some specifics about COVID-19, I highly recommend you take this course.

Hellllllllo to all of my clients! I have missed you all! Firstly, I would like to thank those of you who have stayed in touch and reached out on a personal level while the spa has been closed. It means a lot to me! I know each of us have had a different experience during this ongoing pandemic. Some have also had to close, some have had babies, some are working from home now , some are navigating distance learning with their kids, and some are at work even more. We are all in... this together. At my spa, I have always tried to ensure each one of you have my full attention and that the room is set up brand new each time just for you. This will not change. The appearance of the spa will be about the same. There is some new signage, a plexiglass barrier on the manicure table and I will be wearing a mask. I ask that you please wear a mask as well, if you do not have one I will have a disposable one here for you (I have a limited supply). The sink is set up for you to wash your hands upon arrival. Yesterday, when the news broke that Stage 2 starts Friday my phone blew up. I appreciate and love how happy you are to finally make it back into the spa. However, because I will be booking more time between clients to fully disinfect everything from the desk to the front door, I will have limited spots available. I cannot go 0-100 taking everyone all at once. Please remember I am just one person and my business is still inside my home. Balancing everything well will take a bit of time. I will be sending out a text message to those of you who I know would like appointments by Monday. I will be meeting the needs of my long time standing clients first and will be referring back to my schedule from March to contact those missed appointments. I will be booking clients in over the next few weeks. I encourage (manicure)fill times to be 3 weeks apart so everyone has a chance to get in. I will be offering manicure and pedicure services ONLY at this time. (Polish, Gel polish, and Bio Sculpture Gel) Please do not bring any food or beverages to your appointment Please bring limited belongings into the spa with you Please come alone, no children or friends are to accompany you to your appointments. Please wear a mask Please wait in your car and I will text you when I am ready for you to come in Please wash your hands with soap and water as soon as you come in. There will also be hand sanitizer throughout the spa YOU MUST RESCHEDULE YOUR APPOINTMENT IF YOU HAVE ANY COLD OR FLU SYMPTOMS Thank you! I look forward to seeing you all!!!!

I am working on an AT HOME SOAK OFF KIT! I know a lot of you are wanting to take your nails off, and you want to do it properly. I am putting together a kit for you!!! I am going to keep it as inexpensive as possible while including everything you need. Even a strengthening OPI base/top coat to get you through! I have a few clients working in health care and their messages are the same. They’re overwhelmed already. They’re afraid of running out of isolation rooms and supplies. We need to do what we can to help. Thank you to all of the people who work in our essential services that keep our city functioning and our people safe I will be back up and running as soon as we get the go ahead. Until then I will follow what is advised. ... Again, I want to thank all of my clients for being so wonderful about this. I’m sure many of you would have just been cancelling anyways but I felt it was the right thing to do for everyone that I temporarily close. I love you guys! TIPS TO PROLONG YOUR MANICURE: use gloves when washing dishes/cleaning wash cleaning chemicals off hands and nails after use dry hands completely after hand washing keep nails filed shorter ... use cuticle oil clip any small lifts from the gel off the nail maintain cuticles use a clear polish top coat to seal the space between the regrowth and gel IF you choose to remove your nails here are the steps: File off top shiny coat soak nails in acetone (pharmacy sells it) you can do this by pouring some in a bowl and holding gel nails in it for roughly 5-10mins. OR soak a cotton pad in acetone and wrap in tinfoil for 5-10 mins scrape gel off with cuticle pusher or orange wood stick. *if the gel is still stuck repeat the soaking step buff your nails smooth with a buffer and file smooth. Moisturize, moisturize, moisturize.

After announcements from the Ontario government today, I have made the decision to CLOSE Aesthetics by Hayley until further notice. It is our duty as Canadians to follow what Public Health recommends. With this line of work it is not possible to maintain social distancing recommendations of 2 meters apart. We need to do our part to flatten the curve. The safety of myself, my clients and my family is what is most important here. Please know that this decision was not m...ade lightly. As most of you are nail clients I recommend you shorten them back if you have to go longer now between appointments. As an aesthetician working from home it is my priority to keep both my clients and family safe. If you have travelled outside of Canada within 14 days of your upcoming appointment please contact me to reschedule. If you have any cold/flu symptoms please contact me to reschedule. When you arrive at the spa for your appointment I will ask you to please wash your hands with soap and water before we start. The spa will be closed over the March break as originally planne...d.
