Guilty of over stacking my To Do List. . Productivity is a bit of an obsession of mine. I love seeing a long list of checked off "to-do's." When working with individuals transitioning into Leadership, I often hear this burning desire to "leave a legacy" or "be remembered" or "to inspire/influence." . Influence isn't about showing off what we know or advising how to. People don't remember you by how much you knew. They remember you by how much you helped them grow, change, learn, feel and who you helped them become. .... Influence isn't about accolades. It's about creating impact for others. Inspiring them to become their best selves. You may never know your impact. It doesn't happen in the moment, it happens long after when someone looks back and says, that moment, that feedback, that person helped me become who I am today. . Sometimes those moments were difficult. The individuals who have influenced my life weren't only the ones I liked the most.
