Plan on going away this holiday weekend? Try these helpful tips to keep your body healthy while travelling! 1. Dont over pack. When rushing, we tend to pack e...verything and anything we can find. But the heavier your luggage or bags are, the more susceptible you are to an injury. 2. Take a few smaller bags instead of one large bag. Taking smaller/lighter bags will allow to you carry less weight and lower the risk of an injury before your weekend away. 3. Warm up before unloading. Whether you are sitting in a car or on a plane for hours, it is important to warm up before lifting your heavy luggage. Go for a walk around the yard or the airport before lifting your heavy bag. 4. Keep the bag close. Keeping weight as close to the body as possible reduces the strain on your body. Keep backpack straps tight and keep the luggage close to your body by lifting with your legs. 5. Avoid twisting. Our bodies do not like to twist (Even if the Beatles tell us to twist and shout), especially after sitting for a long time. For more healthy living tips, visit georgianfamilychiro.com

Paleo Bread: Simple, Fast, and Delicious! Do you find wheat is difficult to digest and sits like a lump in your stomach? Or maybe you're someone who needs to re...duce their starch intake for weight loss or to better manage your blood sugar. Either way, many people are trying out a gluten free/paleo lifestyle these days to see how it might improve their health. If you find you're missing a bread option then look no further, this simple recipe can be whipped up in a flash. It's soft, fluffy, and really puffs up! Makes 6-7 Buns Step 1 - Preheat your oven to 350 and grease a biscuit pan (or whatever you have, I made mine in a small-bundt cake pan) Step 2 - In a bowl combine the next 6 ingredients, I fold it together with a spatula. - 3/4 cup gr. almond flour - 3/4 cup tapioca starch flour - 1 1/2 tsp baking powder - 1/2 tsp salt - 3 eggs - 1/3 cup unsweetened apple sauce *I do not recommend any substitutions here either* Step 3 - Pour batter evenly between your moulds and bake for 10-15 min until a tooth pick comes out clean. Step - 4 Let them rest for 5 min then remove from the mould and let them finish cooling on a rack. Or dig in to a nice warm freshly baked piece of bread. I like to use these to make sandwiches or spread a nut butter on them, they freeze and thaw well, keep in the fridge nicely for a few days and are delicious toasted. Enjoy! #wasagabeach #healthrecipe
Oh. My. Goodness! Hazel Nut Milk, where have you been all my life. Are you looking for something delicious and healthy to add to your coffee or tea, or just dr...ink straight up, then this recipe is for you. Making it yourself is so easy, tastes way better than the boxed version, and has no questionable additives. Here's how you do it: Step 1: 1 cup of hazel nuts soaked over night (8 hours-ish) Step 2: drain nuts from soaking water, toss in blender and blend on high 30-60 sec with at least 3 cups of water (or 4 to stretch it further). OPTIONAL additions: Add a dash of vanilla, a tbsp of local honey or maple syrup or a few dates for a bit of sweetness, a pinch of salt, and/or a few tbsp of raw cocoa powder. Done! But if you'd like a smoother consistency then do step 3. Step 3: Strain through a few layers of cheese cloth or get your very own nut milk bag (~$10) (I found mine at BulkBarn), and squeeze all the milk out. Store in the fridge for up to 2 days. The same steps work for all the other nuts too, but hazelnut milk is something special! Save your left over nut pulp for use in lots of healthy recipes (available online), it freezes very well. I dehydrated mine into nut flour for my paleo recipes. #healthyrecipes #wasagabeach
