We are sad that Buckwallow will not open this year, but we support Mike ! We look forward to being back in 2021 to make the Mudslinger bigger and better than ever!

Angry Johnny’s is excited to announce the addition of an E-Mountain Bike event to our Mountainview, Midland O-cup on Saturday, August 8, 2020! The event will include two race options Open Men/Women, and Pro/Elite Men/Women, and will be open to participants 19 years of age and above. It will be run on the same course as the XC race on Sunday. Director Sportif for Angry Johnny’s, John Bates is excited to bring this new race format to one of Ontario’s premier race venues in 202...0. The idea started after watching the MTB World’s E-Mountain bike races at MSA and when we started talking to people about it there was quite a bit of excitement. said Bates about the event. He adds that he’s excited to announce that prizes will be awarded to podium finishers in all categories, and that equal prize money will be paid to the podium finishers of the Pro/Elite Men’s and Women’s categories. (Prize money pool will be comprised of 50% of Pro/Elite E-Mountain Bike Race registration fees Timing & Bike Check costs.) The race will be run under UCI E-Mountain Bike Rules (Part 4, Chapter VIII.) and ALL E-MOUNTAIN BIKES WILL BE SUBJECT TO INSPECTION AND SEQUESTER PRIOR TO THE EVENT. A Technical guide will be released to provide full details prior to the event. 1. 4.8.001 An E-Mountain Bike, is a bike operated with two energy sources, human pedal power and an electric engine, which only provides assistance when the rider is pedaling. Only Pedelec type of bikes are allowed in UCI event. E-Mountain bike events must be organised in accordance with the following bike standards: o - Engine with a maximum continuous rated power of 250 watts o - Engine assistance up to 25km/h o - Pedaling assistance only, although a start-up assistance not exceeding 6km/h without pedaling is allowed Registration cost: Open Men/Women : $40 Pre-reg. We're excited to announce that we've done some off-season restructuring and our race team will be on the trails under a new banner this season. SCARY FAST p/b NORCO & AJs will be ripping up the trails all over Ontario and select National events, representing the racing arm of Angry Johnny's. (AJs will be putting more efforts into bringing great races to Ontario. More about that soon.) We'll be releasing more info and our team roster in the coming weeks, so stay tuned for more!
