WHAT DOES HEALTH MEAN TO YOU? Honestly, health to me incorporates my energy, sleep, diet, exercise, mental state and skin. Put the band just above your knees Bring your feet shoulder width apart Squat down, making sure your knees don't go past your toes, keeping your chest and shoulders square Never squat past a 90 degree angle Hold a weight in your hands for added resistance Thank you Le Westin Montreal for making sure I get a good workout in while traveling #fitness #wellness

WELLNESS WEDNESDAY The side plank. Looks so graceful, yet it's a killer oblique workout. A few FORM TIPS below Wrist should be inline with your shoulders... Hips should be lifted, creating a straight line from you feet to your hips Your upper body is fully rotated to the ceiling And most important, remember to breathe! With my eyes closed, I breathe deeply, imagining my body filling up with liquid sunshine. Any thought that filters through I push aside, imagining I'm watching my thoughts flowing while hanging out on the side of a river. That's MY form of meditation. BUT that doesn't mean there is only one way to meditate or a right and wrong way to meditate. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise! When in doubt, just breathe. #friday #fitness #meditation
