Lately, we have seen many cultural issues come up that evokes strong emotions. People in the church are no exception. Sometimes, these passions create more heat than light, causing a division in the church. What is going on, and what might be a way forward? Andy invited Tim Muehlhoff and Richard Langer to discuss insights from their latest book, Winsome Conviction.

Social media has been abuzz, particularly in Canada, with the news of Pastor James Coates of GraceLife Church in Edmonton. How does your church handle discussions on science and faith? Andy wraps up 2020 with an interview of Dr. Dale Laird, an accomplished biochemist from Western University, to discuss the intersection of science and faith at church.

We in the 21st-century West grew up saturated with the Christmas story, such that this perceived familiarity might have caused us to miss the strangeness of it all. Many of us remember the Christmas pageants from our childhood church experience, with children dressed as Mary, Joseph, the animals, the star, and more. In these pageants, we hear a single nativity story, starting with Mary's encounter with Gabriel on through the visit of the wise men with their gifts. What many of us perhaps don't recognize is that this is one harmonized account of two strikingly different nativity accounts found in Matthew and Luke. What is Human? Apologetics Canada and Power to Change filmed this short story in Uganda, where many Tutsis fled during the Rwanda Genocide. The story is based on true events from a survivor of that tragic moment in history whom Andy had the privilege of interviewing. What do video gaming and apologetics have to do with each other? More than you might think at first. From how games are designed, to the nature of coding, our humanity and dignity are implicated. Today, Andy invited a rather unusual guest, a video game developer, to discuss how video gaming intersects with the Christian worldview and the place of humanity in the world.

What is the most loving gift you can give to your child? Typically, you wouldn't think having zero siblings would be one of them, but that is precisely what an environmentalist group is advocating for. With overpopulation, it is claimed, we are depleting the planet's resources and this will spell a disaster for our future generations. Andy and Steve have a disaster in mind, too, but this is not it.

With the American presidential election merely days away, partisanship is flaring up as might be expected. We are used to seeing such political allegiances in many places, but we might not rightly expect it from science journals. What happens when science shakes hands with political power?
