by @conservatoredge: As #askaconservator day comes to a close, I take a moment to reflect upon some of my work here at ingeniumcanada . One artefact that comes to mind is our Sikorsky #SeaKing helicopter. In addition to being an impressive piece of kit, this machine was an important and well cared-for component of many missions over many years of service. Evidence of it's important role while in service can be found in the photo collections of canadianforces members. These ...photos show the bird occupying an important place on deck, next to the Governor General while on-board HMCS Montreal for operation Apollo. In-flight during the last official CH-124 fly-by over Halifax harbour on Jan 26, 2018. Finally, as part of the collection at @avspacemuseum where Canadians can enjoy visiting this special piece of history on display. Photo credit to G.Hatton and C.Hemeon. See more
