The misconception that raises my blood the most about the farming and ranching industry? . . . That death and the finality of it doesn’t effect us because we raise animals for food. ... . . . This couldn’t be farther from the truth, we care to the depth of our core. We care so much that we put our animals welfare above our own. AND, we care so much that we would do anything for our livestock to live a healthy happy, life and try our best to change regulations surrounding how their one bad day has to be navigated. . . . Every life that is born onto our farm is welcomed and we have an unspoken agreement that I will take care of them to the depth of my soul, and try my best to keep them out of harms way throughout their duration of our time together. Experts say the more resilient we are the better we can face life’s challenges, I’ve seen death and I know resilience but it certainly doesn’t make facing it any easier. Today, I tried and I failed and sadly that’s farming, you have livestock and you have dead stock. . . . And, even though raised for food, the finality of death when it’s not their time will never be normalized here. . . . I am human, not a monster. My animals are more than just a paycheque. . . . There will be a $5 delivery charge for all orders under $150. We provide bison, pork, select chicken, select turkey and free-range eggs to doorsteps while supplies last with priority given to orders placed first. All other goods that we offer in the farmstore are farmstore only with the exception of Christmas morning boxes.
