With beautiful memories in their hearts, the family of Garry Sweet Pea Smallface of Beaver Lake Cree Nation, Alberta announce his passing on Wednesday, Octobe...r 20, 2021 at the age of 66 years. Garry is lovingly survived by his children: Jerome Anderson, Jolene Anderson, Gary Anderson; grandchildren: Jay, Delaney, Justin, Jessica, Ty, Brayden, Kilee, Jolee, Jonee, Shelten, Zoey, Avery, Myla; great grandchildren: Niko, Jed, Juanita, Kenai; sisters: Marlene Sharphead, Melva Campbell, Lorraine Anderson, Lisa Quintal; as well as numerous adopted children nieces, nephews, cousin and friends. Garry was predeceased by his special friend: Bev Anderson; best buddy: Jimmy Flash Coombes; parents: Clarence Anderson & Caroline Smallface Anderson; grandparents: Clement & Mary Rose Smallface; grandson: Jesse-Lee Koebel; nephews: Riley Baldhead, Carson Liam Anderson, Russell Jr. Anderson. Honorary Pallbearers: His grandchildren and great grandchildren. Pallbearers: Dwayne Thiessen, Ricky Swan, Emil Cardinal, Herman Cardinal, Barry Cardinal, Nelson Baldhead, Leonard Jackson. A one night wake will be held on Monday, October 25 starting at 11 am at the family home at 22 Cardinal Drive in Beaver Lake Cree Nation, Alberta. A final celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, October 26, 2021 at the family home at 1:00 pm and this will conclude with a horse drawn ride up the Island. Cremation will follow. Please note, when bringing food to the family there are allergies to: strawberries, beets, kiwi, seafood and chocolate. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Amisk Community School, Land based Education Program at Box 5000 Lac La Biche, Alberta T0A 2C0.
