And rolling into third place in our trio (oh man, how ironic explanation to come ) is this gem of a pie flavour - Blackberry Apple Pie! Brioche stuffie filled with a housemade blackberry apple filling, topped with a blackberry dip, and finished with a sprinkle of sanding sugar and a little apple shaped pie crust piece Why is it ironic, you ask? As I tend to do, this flavour is drawn from a time in the life of your baker.... I’ve always baked, but I’ll be honest, I’...m a self conscious baker because I lack any formal training (and as someone who loves school and has far too much education I struggle with this fact.. but I try, I try really hard) and anyways... it was but 5 years ago or so when Lynds decides to put herself out there (I’ve taken to the third person now for some reason ) if I’m opening a bakery I should probably start acting like a baker! So I enter a pie in the Foggy Mountain Fall Fair in Cumberland! I placed third, and man was I stoked! So here’s to embracing life, one third place Blackberry Apple pie at a time!
