Event Alert- Online Event organized by Climate Action Buddies Where: Zoom When: Sunday, October 25, 2020 at 12 PM EDT Register here: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/reimagining-education-for-the-... What kind of education do we need to build a just and carbon-free future? How can we as activists and movements learn from and teach one another? How can we connect across borders and share resources, knowledge and connections? During this interactive session we want to gather some of these ideas through two components: First we will hear from Dr Jonathan Langdon, Development Studies Professor at St Francis Xavier University in Canada. Dr Langdon will share about his research in trans local movement learning, which investigates how change leaders emerge and how they learn from each other to magnify their impact. After receiving background on this field to get us started, we will go into break-out groups to further explore the questions of how we as young climate justice activists in multiple countries can teach and learn from each other in impactful ways.

Governments at all levels are responsible for caring #ForNature. Find out what their policies are and how their actions stack up to their commitments. This week, 70 countries and the European Union signed on to the #LeadersPledge4Nature, and they're inviting you to hold them accountable. The pledge states: "It marks a turning point, and comes with an explicit recognition that we will be judged now and by future generations on our willingness and ability to meet its aims."
