One of the original Carrousel of the Nations villages, the Lebanese community was represented by our friends at Saint Peter's Maronite Parish Windsor at this summer’s Carrousel@Home. The Lebanese village presentation featured an exciting exhibition of dabke dance by the Phoenician Gems and a demonstration of the making of Lebanese bread. For today’s #FlashBackFriday we’re sharing this celebration of Lebanese culture... from a safe distance. Enjoy! #FBF #Carrousel #COTN #CelebrateCulture Thank you Canadian Heritage for your support of Carrousel. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hOyOFn66IQE
This summer, Emerald Isle Dance Society/Goggin-Carroll School of Irish Dance brought the Irish Village back to Carrousel. For #FlashBackFriday we’re delighted to share their Carrousel@Home presentation, performed by their talented and award-winning dancers. Enjoy this celebration of Irish culture from a safe distance. The Hungarian Cultural Centre has been a part of Carrousel for the last 45 years. In today's #FlashBackFriday, you'll meet a volunteer that has been a dedicated member of the Carrousel of the Nations Hungarian Village since 1976. You'll also have an opportunity to enjoy some traditional Hungarian dancing. This summer's Carrousel@Home was an incredible way to celebrate Hungarian culture ... from a safe distance. Stay safe and enjoy! #Carrousel # CelebrateCulture #FBF https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=97X04g3jo7g
